Patterns
This tip is very easy. Remember to read your pattern several times before you start it. Understanding your pattern is the key to any craft that you undertake. Most symbols are the same but some patterns have something new. Make sure you also have a copy of the symbols just in case.
Have fun crafting!
You are asking before what? Always read your pattern before you buy, print it from the net, or write it up from your favorite book. Why? you asked because if it doesn't make any sense why keep it.
I was trying a baby sweater pattern and I thought it would be easy because it would not take too long. The beginning was easy, as I read it but the middle had language I didn't understand. I have been knitting since I was a teen and I had no idea what it meant. Later this pattern was reposted with language that anyone could understand.
I'm working on a couple of scarf patterns. The first one curled too much so I'm modifying that one. The other pattern was a scarf my mom made. I just have to see if what I wrote down works. I hope to have the pattern up on my site in a week.
Stay tuned....

I just completed the knitted belt for my sister. It was made from Red Heart yarn which is one of the least raveling yarns. The color is Windsor Blue and it goes well with her Jeans. I'm trying the pattern a little wider and I'll see how that works. I tried changing colors but I haven't got a handle on that yet with this pattern. I'll have to get back to you on that.
Talk later and Keep Knitting.
I am working on some new patterns that I used during my knitting classes. I hope to have them up soon. They are fun and easy scarf patterns that really can be used as baby blankets or shawls, too. Hope you enjoy them.

I did finish the dish cloth in two days and now I'm trying a different pattern for a face cloth. I went to my favorite place--Yes, A C Moore--and found yarn for a knitted stocking cap I'm going to make after these dish clothes. I also, found some patterns for making cotton dish clothes. I hope you are working on something fun too. Let me know what it is. Keep Crafting, Lee

I've started my dish scrubber today. Let's see how long it takes to finish it with my day job, my housework and my short ride on buses. I think it will take two days. What do you think? I'll let you know.
I bought yarn yesterday for my Beginning knitting class that I'm teaching. They have so much cotton yarn that it was hard to pick two colors. I ended up picking Bird's Egg blue and a Shades of Green. It was great picking out colors for the dish clothes I will be making for this class. I'll start them tomorrow. I wonder how long will it take for me to finish.
